Never judge a company using one ratio. Compare several ratios together and consider the company's industry, growth, debt and profitability.

Game disclaimer: Ratio Detective uses fictional financial data for educational purposes. Financial ratios are analytical tools and should not be treated as guaranteed investment signals or investment advice.

Welcome to Ratio Detective, an interactive financial analysis game from StockMaster Universe where you investigate companies by studying their financial ratios. Instead of answering traditional quiz questions, you become a financial detective and examine a company’s valuation, profitability, debt and efficiency to uncover the strengths and weaknesses hidden inside the numbers.

Each case presents a fictional company with a set of important financial ratios. You will compare metrics such as P/E ratio, ROE, ROCE, debt-to-equity, net margin, operating margin and interest coverage against industry benchmarks. Your mission is to investigate the evidence and decide whether the company appears STRONG, WEAK or WAIT.

The game is designed to teach an important fundamental-analysis principle: one ratio rarely tells the complete story. A company may have a low P/E ratio but weak profitability, excessive debt or poor capital efficiency. Another company may trade at a higher valuation while generating excellent returns with a strong balance sheet.

As you investigate each case, you can open different evidence clues covering valuation, profitability, debt, efficiency and overall business quality. After making your assessment, reveal the investigation results and earn Detective Points for your decision.

Ratio Detective includes fictional company scenarios across different industries, giving you opportunities to compare businesses with different financial characteristics. As your score increases, you progress through ranks such as Junior Analyst, Financial Analyst, Ratio Detective and Fundamental Master.

The goal is not to memorise ratio definitions. It is to develop the habit of asking better questions: Is the company profitable? Is its valuation reasonable? Is debt under control? Is capital being used efficiently? Are several ratios telling the same story?

Whether you are new to fundamental analysis or want to practise reading financial ratios, Ratio Detective provides an engaging, risk-free way to explore company analysis through gameplay.

Study the numbers, investigate the evidence, make your assessment and see whether you solved the case.
